Home Sweet Home!

Wheww.... Its so good to be home, even with ALL the housekeeping I have. Imagine a whole month's worth of cleaning!! So... this afternoon as I did my best to focus on unpacking and housecleaning, Caroline, as usual, kept me quite entertained!

Most of you know already, but for those of you that don't, I bought Caroline's Halloween costume about a month ago (before tax season). When I brought it home, she was absolutely terrified of the darn thing! So... sometime over the last month while I was working, she decided it wasn't quite as bad as she had initially thought. Well today, she even wanted to try it on! Imagine my relief, as I hadn't thought of a back up!

So, here's a precursor to the real thing! She has a matching wand and traditional tights that complete the outfit. I will certainly share more when she's trick or treating!

Caroline has learned to say "cheese". Where's my smile?
(you can sorta see the wand in this pic. it has a purple flower that matches the hat).
What a cutie!

She even left it on to play. Halloween is gonna be GREAT!

The Donkey Farm!

Yeah, you heard me right. Mimi took Caroline and I to a miniature Donkey farm on Saturday. It was actually one of the neatest things I've seen in a while. This man essentially has a piece of land right in the middle of Austin where he raises miniature donkeys, goats, pigs and some mix of a raccoon and a monkey (I think).

So.... whose big idea was this? Pa had a pretty funny encounter with a 'mini' donkey a couple of weeks ago, and really wants a couple for their new place. Mom and I had to check these things out. I must say, they are soooo cool! These donkeys are like dogs. All they want is to be petted.

Check out the pics.

These are the two jacks... They are my first choice. They were a tad bit distracted with the girls next door!
Caroline was scared in the beginning, but eventually she was squealling with joy!

Ha Ha.... This one makes me laugh. This little fella was way to friendly. It literally walked right between my legs to get my attention. Caroline was quite amused by this.

Ok, maybe this is my favorite. This one has such a personality!!!

This is the daddy Jack (I guess that's what you'd call him).

These are the babies. They were a little more aggressive when it came to getting the attention that they wanted.

She's getting braver!

Aren't they precious! I hope they get a dozen!

Mimi and Pa's New House

We've finally seen the house. For those that don't know, Mimi and Pa are moving to the stix (aka Bertrum, TX). We're really excited for them. The house is amazing. Take a look! Here's the house from the main road.

Caroline is looking out Mimi's bedroom window. Imagine waking up to that few everyday!

Caroline and her Mimi!

Here's a closer look!

We got a new bike. She has outgrown her little
car, so we thought her first "Radio Flyer"
necessary.

In order to get ready for Halloween, we decided to decorate some pumpkins "Mr. Potato Head" Style. She was really excited at first, but she sure didn't want me puncturing her pumpkin.
