One Year.....

Where did the last year go?  Addison turns one tomorrow!  I can't believe it.  We celebrated her 1st birthday this weekend with all the family.  We had such a good time.  Here's some pictures of my big girl!

Here's Addison sporting some of her B-day gifts.  Thanks to The Burgers for the hat and to Bams and Papa for the Zebra.  (btw, Caroline wished she could have a zebra of her own.)
Who needs presents when we got a box!
The birthday girl and her grandmothers....  Bams, Bammer and MeeMaw

The theme was cupcakes.
And the eating began....
And continued some more...

I don't think I've mentioned it yet.  Addison decided that she would show off at her party.  She started walking on Saturday.  The best part, is that all her family was there to see it!
Yay, Addison....  Poor Mama....
Watch out Big SISTER.....

In early June, Mimi, Aunt Rachelle, Lauren, Ash and us went to SeaWorld in San Antonio.  WE had a great time.  The first stop was face painting.   Caroline picked a dolphin, Lauren a snake and Ash Swans.
She really liked it.  Still talking about it.
A couple of weeks ago, we took a trip to east Texas to visit the Farm.  I thought this was such a great pic of Addison, so I had to share.
This was yesterday.  She was running to the play room!
Time for another haircut.  This time, we went just a bit shorter.  Anything to stay cooler in this heat.  Caroline does not like anything in her hair these days, so the shorter the better.  Less fights.

And the story goes....

A lot has happened since I've last blogged...  (duh, you're saying...  Its only been about 2 months).  We have had quite a busy past two months.  Jason and I managed to escape to Napa for a long weekend.  It was amazing.  I missed my girls terribly.  Caroline turned 3 at the end of March.  We had a Minnie Mouse themed party.  We were supposed to have a bounce house, with 30 mph winds, our bounce house was cancelled.  So... 11 kids packed into the house for a good 'ole fashion birthday party.

Jason turned 31 last weekend.  (Ha.... Stinks to be old).

Well...  Let me introduce you to our newest Clark.  This is Lucy...  Caroline's first fish.   She and I decided to get it when Daddy was out of town, so he could be surprised when he came home.  He was certainly surprised!

So...  Check out the hair do.  I was finally brave enough to get her hair cut.  She loves it and I love it.  Finally her hair looks cute.
Isn't she a sweetheart!

Ok, so let me tell you what happens when your daughter's eye meets a plastic SCOOP!  Yes, 4.5 hours at an opthomologist and we are ok.  A little boy in Caroline's class took out his aggression on her.  He whacked her with a scoop.  This picture is actually mild compared to the reality.  Fortunately, there was no damage to the cornia and her vision is perfect.  She has quite a shiner around the eye and a hemorrage in the eye from the impact.  She's been a trooper!

I'm on a bloggin' roll!

Today was just a typical Monday.   Addison cut two new teeth.  Her second top center one and the one next to it.  Wow....  5 teeth!  I think the one on the other side will break by weeks end.  You can see the white...

Enjoy!

Addison still takes a bath in our kitchen sink.  It saves me back plus, she can't go too far and I like it that way!
This is her new game.  You put her in her crib and she rushes to the side to watch you leave.
I told her to make a scary face.  This is the best she could do.

Two seconds later, she came tumbling over the edge.  No worries, I caught her.
She is definitely her mother's daughter in the morning.

Super Bowl Weekend...

Yes, we went to a Superbowl Party and yet its 8:30, both girls are asleep, my house is clean and I'm blogging.  I don't know if its just this year or what, but I couldn't care any less about the Superbowl.  Maybe its because my husband beats me down during the regular season with his fantasy football, that by the time the Superbowl rolls around, I am so freakin' sick of football, I could GAG!  Oh...  did I just say all that.

Anyway, we had a fantastic weekend.  You gotta love Texas.  It was 73 and sunny on Saturday, so Jason and I took the girls to the Dallas Zoo.  We had a great time.  Caroline liked the elephant the best, and Addison enjoyed the stroller ride.

I tried to get her to stick her head in its mouth, but she wasn't to keen on the idea
"uh, can you hurry up mom!"
And this is JENNY...  There is a big controversy at the Dallas Zoo about Jenny.  About a year ago (maybe), the zoo lost its other elephant to an illness, and from what I understand, Jenny hasn't recovered from that loss.  The tree hugger in my felt so sad for Jenny.
For some reason, I couldn't catch her smiling, but she did smile.
I think my girls are over the picture taking.

And we were swingin'

Whoa!!!  The Clark house is "fever" free.  Finally....  maybe our lives will get back to normal. Today, I kept Caroline home since it hadn't been 24 hours with no fever.  She woke up this morning cool and went to bed cool.  After another LONG morning stuck in the house, I decided enough was enough and out we went.  We took a quick trip to the park to try and burn some energy.  The girls hung out on the swings after Caroline went down the slide and found an icy cold puddle awaiting her arrival.  Yes, she spent the rest of the time with a wet bottom.

I know she is too big for the baby swing, but she likes to go really high, and mommy gets nervous with her on the big one.
We will try and eat anything.
Look at those sisters!
Ha, Have you ever seen anything quite this cute!  I love her!

Survival of the Fever Virus....

Yes, she's licking him!
OMG...  This girl loves Tucker.  Tucker isn't quite sure about the hair pulling, but he's going to get her crawling.  She will do whatever it takes to get to him.
Isn't she sweet.  This is Addison everyday!
Yes, she's cool!

FEVER VIRUS.....  what?  Yes, its a real thing.  We have lived it for the past week and a half.  Both girls have been down and out with extremely high fever.  Addison had it first and it took about 5 days to get over it, and now Caroline has been battling it.  Today was day 4....  Hopefully tomorrow we'll be fever free!

Nonetheless, it hasn't stopped me from taking pictures.  We've had lots of time on our hands.  It feels like forever since we've been able to enjoy the outdoors.

Last week, Caroline started the pre-K1 class.  I was a little worried about the transition, but she adapted great.  Her friend Maggie was out sick Monday and Tuesday, so that bummed her out, but on Wednesday all was great in Caroline's world.

For Addison, things weren't nearly as peachy.  As mentioned above, she was sick with the fever virus.  Lucky for us, Bams is retired and was able to come and help take care of her.  Thank goodness for Bams.  Jason had to leave town on Wednesday for Phoenix, so we certainly needed help.  After two trips to the Pediatricians office, Addison was also diagnosed with a UTI.  Ughhh....  No wonder she was so miserable.  By Friday, she was pretty much fever free and well on her way to a healthy weekend.

Thanks again Bams!  We are so greatful to you!  (By the way, Bams was diagnosed with Strep once she got home.  Its a good thing she likes my kiddos).

Happy 2009!

Ok, so one of my 2009 Resolutions is to keep the blog more up to date.  The girls are growing up so fast!  Addison turned 6 months last week.  Can you believe it?  She's half way to 1.  Seems like yesterday, we were impatiently waiting for her arrival.

Caroline is being moved to the Pre-K1 class in 2 weeks.  Wow, Pre-K1....  that sounds like real school!  Jason and I were just talking about how grown up she is.  I can't believe we will have a 3 year old in 3 months...  Man!  How time flies?

I hope everyone had the Merriest of Christmas and the Happiest New Year.

For all you Tech fans, our New Year sure didn't start off so great (ie the Cotton Bowl).  We'll get 'em next year!  Go Tech!

I've attached some pics of our Christmas.  We had Christmas in Graham with the Clark Family.  It was amazing!

Santa brought a scooter, a dollhouse and a black kitty.
Here's my beautiful Christmas baby!  She wore that bow for a long time!
I think Santa out did himself!  She seemed a tab bit overwhelmed!
Oh, did I say Santa out did himself.....  Understatement!
